Google Maps → HubSpot
How to export Google Maps businesses to HubSpot
Short answer
Export the Google Maps businesses with Scrupp, which adds emails from the business websites, download the list as CSV, and import it into HubSpot with its own CSV import. There is no HubSpot app to install: the file is the hand-off.
Step by step
From Google Maps to HubSpot
-
Step 1
Pick a category and a place
In the Scrupp app, enter a business category and a city or region, for example “dentists in Austin, TX”.
-
Step 2
Let Scrupp page through the map
Scrupp walks through all the listings the search returns, not only the first 20 the map shows, and writes one row per business, de-duplicated by place ID.
-
Step 3
Get emails from the business websites
For each business with a website, Scrupp looks for a contact email on the site. The row keeps the listing’s phone, address, website, rating and review count.
-
Step 4
Import the file into HubSpot
Download the list as CSV and use HubSpot’s Import → File from computer, importing the rows as Companies: business name, website (as the company domain), phone, address and city map to company properties.
What is in the file
Columns you map in HubSpot
Each row is one business. The export carries these columns, plus a few more you can leave unmapped:
- Business name
- Category
- Address
- Phone
- Website
- Rating
- Review count
Before you import
- HubSpot de-duplicates contacts on email and companies on domain. Keep the website or domain column so businesses do not import twice.
- Test on ten rows first, open two or three records in HubSpot and check the fields landed where you expected.
- These are businesses, not people: the email is the one published on the business website, often a general inbox. For named decision makers, look the company up on LinkedIn afterwards.
FAQ
Questions about Google Maps to HubSpot
Is there a limit of 20 results like on the map?
No. The map shows results in small pages; Scrupp pages through all of them for your search and returns one row per business.
Does Scrupp have a native HubSpot integration?
Scrupp pushes people to HubSpot natively, but Google Maps rows are businesses, so they go in as a CSV import of companies.
What does it cost?
Each business listing costs 1 credit, and finding an email on its website adds another. The free plan gives 100 credits a month with no credit card.
Will every business have an email?
No. An email is added only when the business publishes one on its website, and many small businesses list only a phone. The phone from the listing is in the row whenever Google shows one.
