Scrupp in Claude
Ask Claude for leads in plain words. Claude builds the Sales Navigator search, shows you how many people it matches, exports them with work emails, and enriches companies and decision makers — all through your Scrupp account.
- 1You ask in plain words
- 2Claude runs Scrupp for you
- 3You get the list, with emails
Everything below: Sales Navigator, LinkedIn and Apollo searches, profiles, companies, decision makers, emails. Added by link. Works on every Scrupp plan, lifetime deals included.
Only finding and verifying work emails, plus job status and your credit balance. Use it if that is all you need.
Before you start
- A Scrupp account. Any plan, including lifetime deals: the connector signs in with your Scrupp account, so it works even where your plan has no API keys. Searches and exports spend your credits exactly as they do in the app.
- Your LinkedIn account connected to Scrupp with the Scrupp Chrome extension. Required on the free plan and on unlimited-scraping plans; recommended on every other plan. Sales Navigator searches need that account to have an active Sales Navigator subscription.
On LinkedIn the connector uses your own connected account first. Sales Navigator searches, company lookups and decision makers need an account with Sales Navigator; LinkedIn searches and profile enrichment work with a regular LinkedIn account. On a paid plan or a trial, when you have no suitable account connected, the job runs on Scrupp's shared account capacity instead. The free plan and unlimited-scraping plans always use your own account. Finding and verifying emails and checking your balance need no LinkedIn at all.
If the right account isn't connected, Claude tells you so straight away instead of running the job.
Connect
- Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Scrupp and paste https://mcp.scrupp.com/sn.
- Press Connect, sign in to Scrupp, review what Claude will be able to do and press Allow.
- In a chat, make sure the Scrupp connector is switched on in the tools menu.
claude plugin marketplace add Wism-Corp/scrupp-mcp-server
claude plugin install scrupp@scrupp
Then run /mcp inside Claude Code, pick scrupp and authenticate. Step by step, with what Claude Code adds on top: Scrupp in Claude Code.
The same tools ship as an npm package, scrupp-mcp-server, listed in the official MCP registry as io.github.wismhero-maker/scrupp. It runs on your machine with your Scrupp API key (from the API page in Scrupp) and needs Node.js 20 or newer. API keys come with paid monthly plans and with lifetime deals that include the enrichment addon; on the free plan, a trial or a lifetime deal without the addon, use the connector above, which works on every plan. In Claude Code:
claude mcp add scrupp -e SCRUPP_API_KEY=your_scrupp_api_key -- npx -y scrupp-mcp-server
Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf and other MCP clients take the same server in their MCP config:
{
"mcpServers": {
"scrupp": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "scrupp-mcp-server"],
"env": { "SCRUPP_API_KEY": "your_scrupp_api_key" }
}
}
}
The local server has every tool below except building a Sales Navigator search from a description: pass it a Sales Navigator search link instead.
Scrupp in Claude Code
In your terminal:
claude plugin marketplace add Wism-Corp/scrupp-mcp-server
claude plugin install scrupp@scrupp
Or the same inside Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add Wism-Corp/scrupp-mcp-server, then /plugin install scrupp@scrupp.
The plugin connects the full connector (https://mcp.scrupp.com/sn) and teaches Claude how to spend credits carefully: check the balance first, export a sample of five before a whole search, ask before anything over 100 credits. Nothing runs on your machine — no Node.js, no API key.
On a lifetime plan? The plugin is the way to use Scrupp from Claude Code: it signs in with your Scrupp account, so it works on lifetime deals that don't include API keys.
- Start claude (restart it if it was open during the install).
- Type /mcp, pick scrupp and choose Authenticate.
- A browser window opens on Scrupp: sign in, review the access and press Allow.
- Back in Claude Code, check it works: “How many Scrupp credits do I have left?” This is free.
You sign in once; Claude Code renews access on its own.
Add only the connector, for every project on this computer:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user scrupp https://mcp.scrupp.com/sn
Then sign in through /mcp as in step 2. You get the same tools, without the plugin's guidance on credits.
Claude Code asks before each Scrupp call. Free calls (credit balance, building a Sales Navigator search, job status) are safe to allow for the session. Keep the prompt on exports, enrichment and email finding: those spend credits, and the prompt shows how many records Claude is about to ask for.
Find heads of growth at B2B SaaS companies in the UK with 20–100 employees.
Show me how many there are, export a sample of 5, and if they look right
export 200 with emails into leads/uk-saas-growth.csv.
Take the domains in accounts.csv, find the head of sales and head of marketing
at each with Scrupp, and write name, title, company, email and LinkedIn URL
to decision-makers.csv.
Verify the emails in the "email" column of contacts.csv with Scrupp
and add a "status" column. Don't re-check rows that already have one.
Check on the Scrupp job from earlier and append the new rows to leads/uk-saas-growth.csv,
skipping people who are already in it.
What Claude can do
- Build a Sales Navigator search from a description (role, industry, location, company size) and see how many people it matches. Free.
- Export a Sales Navigator search — names, titles, companies and, by default, verified work emails.
- Export a LinkedIn search from a regular LinkedIn people-search link.
- Run an Apollo search with your own connected Apollo account.
- Enrich LinkedIn profiles from a list of profile links, with or without work emails.
- Look up a company by domain, LinkedIn link or name.
- Find decision makers at companies you know only by domain, link or name.
- Find work emails from first name, last name and company domain.
- Verify emails you already have before sending.
- Credit balance and your plan.
- Job status — large exports keep running after Claude's answer; ask Claude to check on the job later and it collects the result.
Try these
Find operations directors at logistics companies in Germany with 50–200 employees.
Show me how many there are first, then export the first 20 with emails.
Who are the decision makers at stripe.com, hubspot.com and notion.so?
I need heads of sales and marketing, with work emails.
Here are 30 LinkedIn profile links — enrich them with current title, company and work email,
and give me the result as a table.
How many Scrupp credits do I have left?
Credits and limits
- An export holds credits for the number of records you ask for; whatever is not delivered is returned when the job finishes.
- Building a Sales Navigator search and checking how many people it matches costs nothing.
- Ask Claude for a small first batch (a max of 10–20) to check the list looks right before exporting a whole search.
- Your account's daily spend limit applies to the connector too.
If something goes wrong
Your plan runs LinkedIn work on your own account (the free plan and unlimited-scraping plans do), and no LinkedIn account of yours with an active Sales Navigator subscription is connected, or its session has expired. Open LinkedIn with the Scrupp extension installed so it reconnects, check it under Settings → Accounts in Scrupp, and ask Claude again.
Ask for fewer records, or top up in Scrupp under Subscription & Billing.
Large exports outlast a single answer. Claude gets a job id back; ask “check on that Scrupp job” a little later. If a small request (a few records or one company) is still running after 10 minutes, write to us with the job id.
