Converting links one list at a time?

Scrupp exports a whole Sales Navigator search into one file: each person's public LinkedIn URL, title, company and work email. New accounts start free.

How do you convert a Sales Navigator URL to a LinkedIn profile URL?

A Sales Navigator lead link looks like linkedin.com/sales/lead/ACwAAA…,NAME_SEARCH,…. The part that starts with ACw is the person's LinkedIn member ID. Put it after linkedin.com/in/ and you have a link to their regular profile. Account links work the same way: /sales/company/1035 becomes /company/1035. This tool does that for a whole list at once.

Convert Sales Navigator URLs in Google Sheets or Excel

If your Sales Navigator links already sit in a spreadsheet, convert them in place. Put the links in column A and paste the formula into B2, then drag it down. Rows that are not lead links stay empty.

Google Sheets: lead URL to LinkedIn profile URL

=IFERROR("https://www.linkedin.com/in/"&REGEXEXTRACT(A2,"/sales/(?:lead|people)/(AC[A-Za-z0-9_-]+)")&"/","")

Excel (Microsoft 365): lead URL to LinkedIn profile URL

=IFERROR("https://www.linkedin.com/in/"&TEXTBEFORE(TEXTAFTER(A2,"/sales/lead/")&",",{",","?","/"})&"/","")

Account URL to LinkedIn company URL (Google Sheets)

=IFERROR("https://www.linkedin.com/company/"&REGEXEXTRACT(A2,"/sales/company/(\d+)")&"/","")

For a one-off list, the converter above is quicker: paste, convert, download the CSV.

Sales Navigator URL vs LinkedIn profile URL

LinkLooks likeOpens for
Sales Navigator lead/sales/lead/ACwAAA…,NAME_SEARCH,…People with a Sales Navigator seat
Sales Navigator account/sales/company/1035People with a Sales Navigator seat
LinkedIn profile (converted)/in/ACwAAA…/Anyone signed in to LinkedIn
LinkedIn company (converted)/company/1035/Anyone

You need the regular URL when a CRM, an enrichment tool or a teammate without Sales Navigator has to open the profile. The part after ACw is the same member ID in both links; only the path around it changes.

FAQ

Why doesn't the converted link show the person's name? ▾

Sales Navigator links carry the member ID, not the public name, and the name cannot be derived from the ID offline. LinkedIn switches the address to the public name when you open the link while signed in. To get public URLs for a whole search in one file, export the search with Scrupp.

Is my list sent anywhere? ▾

No. The conversion runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Does the converted link work without Sales Navigator? ▾

Yes. A linkedin.com/in/… link opens the regular profile for anyone signed in to LinkedIn, with or without a Sales Navigator seat. That is the main reason to convert before you share a list or import it into a CRM.

How many links can I convert at once? ▾

Up to 1,000 per run. For longer lists, run it again or use the spreadsheet formula above.

Can I convert a search link? ▾

A search link holds filters, not people. Use the search splitter to work with it, or export it with Scrupp to get the people in it.
