This Cookie Policy explains how Wism Corp Ltd (trading as Scrupp, company number 15297767, registered in England and Wales) uses cookies and similar technologies on scrupp.com and related subdomains. It is a companion document to our Privacy Policy and our GDPR Compliance page.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It allows the site to remember information about your visit — for example, your language preference, your session state after login, or whether you have already seen a banner. Similar technologies covered by this policy include local storage, session storage, pixels, and browser fingerprinting.

2. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the Site to function. These include session cookies that keep you logged in, CSRF protection cookies, and cookies that remember your cookie-consent choices. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under the EU ePrivacy Directive and the UK PECR because the Site cannot operate without them.

Functional

Remember non-essential preferences — for example, the A/B variant of the pricing page you were assigned, your preferred language, or UI toggles. Functional cookies improve the experience but the Site remains usable without them.

Analytics

Help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it — typically Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager and PostHog. These cookies set a pseudonymous identifier; IP addresses are truncated where the provider supports it. Analytics cookies are only loaded after you give consent in the consent banner.

Advertising / marketing

Used for attribution of paid-traffic campaigns and for retargeting — typically cookies set by Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or Meta (Facebook) Pixel. These are only loaded after you give consent in the consent banner.

Social network

When content is shared or embedded from third-party platforms (for example, a YouTube demo video), the platform may set its own cookies. You should also consult the cookie policies of those platforms.

3. Cookie retention

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies are stored for up to 13 (thirteen) months unless you clear them earlier. Advertising cookies set by third parties may be stored for up to 13 months, subject to the third party's own policy.

• Browser settings — all major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) allow you to block, delete, or restrict cookies. See your browser's help pages for instructions.

• Do Not Track — we honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where supported by the browser: GPC is treated as a universal opt-out of sale and sharing for CCPA purposes.

5. Third-party cookies

Third-party cookies are set by services we use to deliver the Site. The main providers are:

• Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads, reCAPTCHA) — see Google's cookie policy.
• PostHog — product analytics, self-hosted where possible.
• Stripe — payment fraud prevention on checkout pages only.
• LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook), X/Twitter — only when you consent to advertising cookies or click an embedded share button.
