Short answer: Swordfish AI is a contact finder for cell phone numbers and personal and work emails, used mostly by recruiters and sales reps through a Chrome extension on LinkedIn, GitHub and Google. Its selling point is "unlimited" lookups for a flat monthly price: the Professional plan is $99 a month, or $49 a month on an annual plan. Two things to know before you buy: "unlimited" is subject to a fair-use policy with no published number, and bulk unlocking needs annual billing. Everything below is from Swordfish's own pricing page and help center, checked on 28 October 2026, unless a line says otherwise.
What does Swordfish cost?
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Professional | $99/mo | $49/mo | Chrome extension, Prospector search, reverse lookup; bulk unlock only on annual billing |
| Team | The pricing page showed two different prices for this plan on 28 October 2026; ask Swordfish for a quote | File upload and bulk enrichment, CRM/ATS integrations, API, team management | |
| Data Licensing | From $10,000/mo on an annual contract | Data delivered by file or API with scheduled refreshes | |
Is it really unlimited?
The pricing page says "Unlimited prospecting. No credits." and, right under it, "Subject to fair use". The help center describes the policy as a guard against bots and misuse and says custom requests to raise fair-use limits are approved case by case. No page states the actual limit. One public review from September 2026 says access was cut at under 800 contacts in a month; Swordfish replied that there is no hard cap and pointed to the policy. Plans bought before July 2025 still work on a fixed number of credits per billing cycle.
In practice: if you reveal contacts one by one as you research, you are unlikely to notice the policy. If your plan is to enrich thousands of rows a month, ask for the limit in writing before you pay.
How do you use it?
- Install the Chrome extension and open a LinkedIn, GitHub or Google result for the person.
- Reveal the contact. Swordfish checks the person against several data providers in real time and shows the numbers and emails it finds.
- For lists, use Prospector to search and filter, or upload a CSV to match and verify contacts. Bulk unlock is not part of monthly Professional billing.
What about the free trial?
The trial lasts 7 days, needs a credit card and gives 10 free credits. Swordfish places a $5 temporary hold on the card, which it says is not a charge. The trial turns into the paid plan automatically unless you cancel before it ends.
How hard is it to cancel?
The help center asks for 30 days' notice; access runs to the end of the billing period. Purchases are generally non-refundable, including partial months, and refunds never apply to annual, team or enterprise plans. That matters because the cheapest monthly price and bulk unlock both come with an annual commitment.
Who it suits, and who it doesn't
It suits a recruiter or rep who works one profile at a time, wants cell numbers, and would rather pay a flat fee than count credits. It suits less a team that starts from a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator search of hundreds of people and wants the whole list in a spreadsheet. That is what Scrupp is built for: a robust B2B lead generation and data enrichment tool designed to scrape LinkedIn and Sales Navigator search results, find verified email addresses, and enrich contact data at scale. Scrupp offers features like CSV enrichment, waterfall email enrichment, and CRM integrations to HubSpot and Salesforce, providing an efficient alternative for bulk prospecting.
