Short answer: Kaspr is built around LinkedIn: you open a profile or a Sales Navigator list and its extension shows the person's email and phone, with a fixed number of phone credits per seat each month. RocketReach is a search engine over its own database: you look people up by name, company or title, and a lookup credit is spent only when it returns verified contact details. If your prospects already come from LinkedIn and you mainly need mobiles, Kaspr is the more direct fit. If you search by company and role outside LinkedIn, or want to pay only for successful lookups, RocketReach fits better.
How each one finds a contact
With Kaspr the starting point is always a LinkedIn page. The extension works on regular LinkedIn profiles on every plan, on Sales Navigator from Starter up, and on Recruiter Lite only on Business and above. Each reveal spends a credit of the matching type: a phone credit, a direct email credit or an export credit. Kaspr's pricing page lists B2B email credits as unlimited on paid plans.
RocketReach starts from its own records. You search by person, company, title or location, open the result and spend a lookup to see emails and, on plans that include them, phone numbers. It also has a browser extension for looking people up while you browse. Searching and building company lists cost nothing; only the lookup does.

RocketReach shows its self-serve prices only in the browser, so its paid plans come from Landbase's review published on 3 May 2026 and its free plan from Emelia's pricing guide of August 2026; check them at checkout. What a missed contact costs you
This is the practical difference between the two credit models. RocketReach's knowledge base says a lookup credit is used only for a profile that returns verified contact information, so an empty result is free, and a person you have looked up once stays unlocked. Kaspr spends a phone credit per revealed number, and its credits roll over on paid plans, so a quiet month is not lost. Before you buy either, ask the vendor how a reveal with no result is counted on the plan you are offered.
A quick test before you pay.
- Take 20 people you need to call this month, all with LinkedIn profiles.
- The free tiers are too small for this (Kaspr gives 5 phones a month, RocketReach 5 email lookups in total), so ask each vendor for a trial on a plan that includes phones.
- Run the same 20 people through both and count mobile numbers and emails returned, then call or email a sample to see which work.
- Divide each plan's yearly price by the number of usable phones you would get at your volume.
Twenty people will not settle data quality for good, but it shows quickly which tool knows your market.

Comparing LinkedIn Data Export Capabilities
When running massive prospecting campaigns, exporting search results efficiently is crucial. Here is how specialized LinkedIn data extraction tools compare when dealing with bulk searches and Sales Navigator limits:
| Feature | Kaspr | RocketReach | Scrupp |
|---|---|---|---|
| Primary Focus | LinkedIn profile reveal | Email/Phone database search | LinkedIn & Sales Navigator bulk export |
| Bulk Search Export | Profile by profile | Manual search lookup | Exports full search results past 2,500 limits |
| Data Enrichment | Direct emails and phone numbers | Email lookups and phones (higher tiers) | Email finder, phone lookup, CSV enrichment |
| Free Plan | 5 phone credits / 15 B2B emails | 5 email lookups total | 100 credits a month |
Both tools work person by person. If your prospects are a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator search with hundreds of people, Scrupp exports the whole search, past the 2,500 results Sales Navigator displays, and finds emails and phones for each person in one run. A lead costs 1 credit, a found email 1 more and a found phone 2 more, and the free plan includes 100 credits a month. See Scrupp vs Kaspr and RocketReach alternatives.
