Short answer: both are sold through sales calls, but to different buyers. Cognism sells to teams: its Standard and Pro plans each come with five seats, and Vendr reports a median contract of about $32,750 a year. Seamless.AI can be bought for one person: a free account has 50 credits, Basic gives 250 credits a month and Pro 10,000 a month per user, all on a quote. If you need mobile numbers you can call, with intent data, for a team of five or more, Cognism Pro is the one to price. If you are one or two reps who need volume, Seamless.AI's per-user licence fits better.
Who is each one built for?
Cognism's pricing page lists two plans, Standard and Pro, both including five seats. Standard covers contact and company data, filters, account research, API access and CSV enrichment. Pro adds what Cognism describes as higher-quality mobile data, on-demand mobile verification and buyer intent from Bombora, with up to 12 topics chosen from more than 11,000. Nothing is published below five seats.
Seamless.AI sells per user. The free account is enough to test searches; Basic and Pro are quoted, and Pro's allowance is 10,000 credits a month for each user. There is no stated seat minimum.
How do the credits compare?
| Cognism | Seamless.AI | |
|---|---|---|
| A credit buys | 1 revealed contact | 1 contact found by search, enrichment or Autopilot |
| Viewing it again | Free; a new credit only if the person changes jobs | Not stated |
| Allowance | Per seat, set in the quote; more can be bought any time | 50 free (no refill), 250 a month on Basic, 10,000 a month per user on Pro |
| Other uses | The same credits work in the platform, CRM enrichment and the API | AI assistant messages cost a fifth of a credit |

What should you ask each sales rep?
Because neither price is public, the comparison happens in the two quotes. Ask the same questions of both, in writing:
- How many credits per seat per month, and do unused ones carry over? Cognism sets the allocation in the contract. Seamless.AI's Basic and Pro credits refresh monthly on the contract date.
- What is the cost per extra credit? Both sell more credits; get the number before you need it.
- What is the contract length and notice period? Cognism's page does not state the term. Seamless.AI tailors packages per customer.
- Which data is included in the plan you are quoted? On Cognism, mobile verification and intent are Pro features. Make sure the Seamless.AI quote states which features and credit types are in it.
Then divide each yearly quote by the credits you will really use, not by the allowance. A large allowance you only half use doubles your real cost per contact.
Is there a cheaper route?
If the reason you are looking is a list of people you already found in LinkedIn or Sales Navigator, you may not need a traditional database contract at all. Specialized B2B lead generation and data enrichment tools like Scrupp allow you to export entire search results past LinkedIn Sales Navigator's 2,500 result limit while finding verified emails and phone numbers. Scrupp offers features like LinkedIn & Sales Navigator search exports, a built-in email finder, waterfall enrichment, and CRM integrations (such as HubSpot and Salesforce) on a flexible pay-per-lead model with no mandatory multi-seat team contract.
