Apollo vs Snov.io: Per-User Seats or Per-Account Credits?

Short answer: Apollo charges per user and gives each seat a large yearly credit pool plus its own contact database: $49 a user a month on annual Basic for 30,000 credits a year. Snov.io charges per account and per credit, starting at $39 a month for 1,000 credits, and bundles an email-sending allowance. For one person who finds a few hundred emails a month, Snov.io is cheaper. For a team that wants to search a database and run sequences from every seat, Apollo gives more per dollar.

Three teams, three answers

A founder verifying 500 leads a month from their own list. Snov.io Starter, $39 a month: finding 500 prospects and verifying them uses 1,000 credits, exactly the allowance, and 5,000 sending recipients are included. Apollo Basic would cost $49 a month on a yearly contract ($588 upfront) for a database the founder does not need.

Three SDRs who build lists from scratch every week. Apollo. Three Basic seats on annual billing cost $1,764 a year and come with 90,000 credits and a database to search. On Snov.io the same team would share one account's credits; at 5,000 credits a month (Pro S, $99) they would run out quickly if all three search and verify daily, and Pro M at $189 a month for 20,000 credits costs more than the three Apollo seats.

A team that already has a sending tool. Look at what you would stop using. Snov.io's recipients and Apollo's sequences both duplicate a sender you already pay for. If the only gap is finding emails, a finder-only tool or an export of your existing searches may cost less than either.

What a credit pays for

On Snov.io each prospect costs 1 credit and each verification another, so a found-and-verified email costs 2. On Apollo, credits are spent on revealing emails, phone numbers and exports, with separate limits per plan for some actions, and they are pooled across the account's users. If your lists come from LinkedIn

Both tools add their own search on top. When your prospects already sit in a Sales Navigator or LinkedIn search, dedicated B2B data extractors like Scrupp export that search—bypassing the standard 2,500-result limit imposed by Sales Navigator—and find verified work emails and phone numbers for every lead. Scrupp operates on a flexible pay-per-lead model rather than per-seat subscriptions, making it cost-effective for teams with fluctuating outreach volumes. It also supports Apollo.io search exports, CSV enrichment, and direct CRM integrations. See Scrupp vs Snov.io and Apollo alternatives.
